Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions page! Here you will find answers to all sorts of fencing-related questions.

Q: When/where do you meet?

A: Every Thursday from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the Crestview Community Center in Waco, TX.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: $60 per month.

Q: What ages do you allow?

A: All ages 10 and older.

Q: Does it hurt?

A: Usually when people ask this question, what they are really wanting to know is if the weapons are sharp. They are not. Weapons are blunted on the end and covered with a rubber safety tip. The sides of the blade are not sharp.

The most frequent form of injury is sore or strained muscles due to a fencer not warming up properly.

Q: What is the sword called?

A: A foil, epee, or saber. At this time, HOT Fencing teaches Foil fencing exclusively.
