Classes

Location: Crestview Church of Christ Community Center

Waco, TX

Time: 4:00 - 5:30 p.m., Thursdays

Weapon: Foil

Classes are open to ages 10 and up, and include:

Stretching

Physical Conditioning

Footwork Drills

Bladework Drills

Safety

Practice Bouting

Refereeing

Open Bouting

Sport History

Equipment Maintenance

Fencing Games

HOT Fencing members are also able to take advantage of discounts on fencing equipment, updates on US Fencing news and policies, in-club competitions, parties, and more.

Fees

We have changed our monthly fees to:

$60 per month, with use of club equipment

So that new students may start at any time, we charge fees on a monthly basis, rather than by semester.

USFA Membership

USFA stands for the United States Fencing Association. It is the governing body over the sport of fencing in the U.S.

HOT Fencing is now a USFA Member Club (2009 - 2010). This provides insurance for all of its members.

Individual memberships within the USFA are no longer required for our students unless they plan to compete in a USFA competition.

About the USFA

There are two basic types of USFA memberships: Competitive, and Recreational.

Competitive memberships cost $60, and allow you to fence in any competition within the U.S.A. You receive personal insurance, and a subscription to American Fencing Magazine.

Recreational memberships cost $50. You are not eligible to enter USFA competitions with a Recreational membership. You will still receive personal insurance, and the subscription to American Fencing Magazine.

Both types of memberships must be renewed annually.
